PTO (Parent Teacher Organization)
Thomas Jefferson Academy has a very active parent-teacher organization. With their hard work and dedication, this organization supports the various extracurricular activities of the school and serves as a body to support the total school program and to provide opportunities for parents and patrons to be active in their support of the school. They also serve to provide social opportunities and fellowship among our students, teachers, and parents. The organization meets monthly for the months of August through May. Officers are elected once a year, usually at the May meeting, with the new officers assuming office at the August meeting. Any parents or friends interested in TJA may join. Membership dues are set annually by the organization. To obtain a list of current PTO members, please contact the school office.
PTO wants to partner with our parents and teachers to make Thomas Jefferson the best! Your PTO President is Jenna Watkins. Please contact Jenna at tjapto@yahoo.com with questions you may have regarding joining PTO, functions or events.
Box Tops for Education
Please continue to clip Box Tops for Education. For every box top turned in, our school will receive .10 cents. This adds up and helps our school purchase new items.
Please send box tops in increments of 25 or 50. They can be turned in on provided box tops sheets or in a Ziploc bag with your child’s name and grade. Please submit those to your teacher.
For more information please visit the website at www.boxtops4education.com
Old Ink Cartridges
We are asking that you recycle your old ink cartridges from your printers through our school. Please turn in old cartridges to the storage building beside the gym. There is a box for cartridges located inside.
Shoparoo
Shoparoo is an app that you download on your phone or smart devise to scan your receipts. Once you download the app you will set up your profile information and pick Thomas Jefferson Academy and grade you would like to donate to. The school will receive school Roo points which are transferred to a dollar amount and sent to the schools PTO account. All you do is take pictures of your receipts and upload them to the app. This is free money for the school. Remember to sign up for your child’s grade so their class will receive credit for your donations.
