Letter from Head of School

Dear Thomas Jefferson Academy Families, Students, Alumni, and Friends,

Welcome to another exciting year at Thomas Jefferson Academy! As we gather together for a new season of learning, competition, and fellowship, we are reminded of what makes our school so special: a community united by faith, excellence, and a shared commitment to developing young men and women who are prepared to lead with both wisdom and character.

This school year is especially significant as we celebrate 50 years of Thomas Jefferson Academy. For five decades, TJA has stood as a place where academic excellence, Christian values, and meaningful relationships have shaped generations of students. We honor the vision of those who founded our school, the dedication of the faculty and staff who have faithfully served, and the countless families whose commitment has helped build the strong tradition we enjoy today. While we celebrate our rich history, we also look ahead with great excitement, confident that the best chapters of Thomas Jefferson Academy are still to be written.

Athletics have always been a proud tradition at Thomas Jefferson Academy. Every practice, every game, every victory, and every challenge teaches lessons that last far beyond the final whistle. Our student-athletes learn discipline, perseverance, humility, teamwork, and resilience—qualities that build strong leaders both on and off the field. As we celebrate our 50th Anniversary, we also celebrate the generations of Jaguar athletes who have represented our school with determination, sportsmanship, and pride.

As we kick off another football season, may we continually seek God’s guidance in all that we do. Scripture reminds us:

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
Colossians 3:23

May this verse inspire each student, teacher, coach, parent, alumnus, and supporter to pursue excellence with purpose, serve others with humility, and reflect Christ in every classroom, every competition, and every conversation.

Thank you for your continued support of Thomas Jefferson Academy! Go Jaguars!
